Ansys Discovery Software for FEA Geometry Preparation Getting Started

This course is designed for FEA users of Ansys Discovery™ 3D product simulation software. Ansys Discovery software is the combination of interactive geometry modeling, along with instant GPU simulation and high-fidelity physics in a single interface. Improvements to the user experience and modeling architecture make it easier, faster, and more robust than ever before.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Discover the Ansys Discovery user interface
• Create Named Selections and parameters in Ansys Discovery
• Create mid-surfaces from a volume
• Create Beams and assign cross sections to them
• Import the geometry to Ansys Workbench with the Named Selections and the Parameters
• Create a new geometry from scratch in Ansys Discovery
• Discover the Ansys Discovery main tools: Pull, Move, Fill and combine
• Repair an imported geometry in Ansys Discovery

Prerequisites:

This course is an introductory course to Ansys Discovery software for FEA users, no specific prerequisites are required.
