SubscriberQuartodiLitro is a Motostudent Team that builds two prototypes: one e-Fuel and one Electric.
For the 2025 Edition the Team made a pair of fork feet for the Electric prototype. The Electric prototype is heavier than a Moto3/Pre-Moto3 bike, so the front fork should be bigger and a pair of commercial fork with custom cartridge was the choice. However, the fork feet didn’t match the correct offset for the brake caliper so the Team projected a pair on its own.
We drawn a reference CAD geometry, then with the optimize tools of Ansys we reduce the weight and enhance the stiffness with defined targets. In the last steps, with the Static Structural component of Ansys, we validate the structural integrity with the typical load cases for a motorcycle prototype.
