ANSYS RSM Error when connecting from Windows to Linux

My client side is a computer running Windows and Server side is running Ubuntu 18 (I know, it's not supported, but I had got RSM to work some time back). I have installed the RSM and ARC daemon on the server side.

Now, when I go to validate the credentials from my side, I get the following error.

      Hello
      please search RSM documentation for
Configuring RSM to Use SSH for Job Submission and/or File Transfers to a Remote Linux Cluster
and try following the detailed steps for the ssh method for communicating with Linux machine

I followed the instructions in that link. I am now getting the following error
I have set the AWP_ROOT212 environment variable on the Linux side

Which variable should I set exactly? The arc_env_profile is a file with all lines commented out. I also checked out Ans.Rsm.AppSettings.config file, but it is too large and I don't know what to check there.

I was able to resolve the issue without using the SSH method. I had to create another user in Ubuntu, and then give the credentials of that user on the client side, in RSM configuration.
