What is the difference between isotropic hardening plastic model and kinematic hardening plastic model?

      1. For monotonically loading, i.e., load goes from zero to some value above the yield point and stops, isotropic hardening and kinematic hardening give the same result, but isotropic hardening is mathematically easier to implement. 2. For cyclic loading, kinematic hardening should be used and isotropic is NOT recommended. 2.1. For small strain (typically 5-10% true strain), linear (bilinear or multilinear) kinematic hardening may be used. 2.2. For large strain, nonlinear (Chaboche) kinematic hardening should be used.
