Species transport phase not saving!

I am trying to save a case file for a simulation using multiphase species transport, whenever i open the case file the phase of the speceis transport reverts back to the primary phase rather than the secondary phase that was set when saving the file. is there a way of fixing this?, as i am tring to use journal files to exectue the simulation using HPC and it currently wont let me use GUI commands to change the phase in the fluent window.

Does anuone know a solution to this? Thanks

To clarify. You've set the species mixture on the secondary phase but when re-opening the saved case file Fluent has switched the species mixture to primary phase?

        This is correct yes

Please can you post screen shots? Are you running Fluent inside Workbench?

Hi Rob, thanks for the reply. Initially i saved the case file in workbench with mixture phase selected, but i then load the case file into standalone fluent and it reverts back to the primary phase (air), i have tried changinng it and then saving it from fluent outside workbench but it gives the same problem.

I don't think it's changing anything, click on the down arrow. Each phase has a material/mixture associated with it.

When i save the case file the mixture is selected (secondary phase) as in image 1, but when i read in the case file after opening fluent again the phase is defined as air (primary phase) as in image 2 and not mix; fluent switches it back to air.

Please can you post the VOF panel – both phases.

      These are my two phases

So, air is air and mix is a mixture. That should be as expected?

The phases themselves are fine however when applying the species transport model i define the phase it acts in as the mixture (secondary phase) however when i save the case file and open it again fluent changes it back to air (the primary phase) which means i have to manually change it back again. This is providing a problem when running on HPC.

Not seeing that here. Did you "Apply" after setting each phase and before moving onto the next phase or tab?
