Space claim engineering not detected

      Hi everyone,

I usually use space claim to create geometries but suddenly it started showing error -unable to attach geometry. PlugIn Error: attach failed. Then I configured spaceclaim through CAD configuration. There it shows -

      Prerequisites ..... Configure Success

SCDM Workbench PlugIn ..... Configure Success.

But still Ansys meshing was giving the same error. So when I opened the log file of configuration, there it says for spaceclaim

      -"<>

      Successful update of CAD Controller

SCDM Workbench PlugIn ..... Configure Success."

But at the end of the file it says "SpaceClaimEngineering Not Detected"

How to resolve this error? In the start command I can see Ansys Spaceclaim and also use it

      Any help will be appreciated.

Since the application was working before, please try the following instructions :
Renamev211 from %APPDATA%\ansys\v211 tov211.old(where %APPDATA% is where your APPDATA variable is set to - "Just type %APPDATA% in the Explorer Address bar" and it will take you there).
Rename .ansys from %TEMP% toold.ansys (same as above, just type: %TEMP% in the address bar)
      RenameC:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\SpaceClaim toSpaceClaim.old
      C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\SpaceClaimtoSpaceClaim.old
Or you can rename only the specific version:
      C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SpaceClaim\SCDM211 toC:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SpaceClaim\SCDM211_old
Run the ProductConfig.exe from C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v211 and configure the application again, by right clicking the productconfig.exe file and select "Run as Administrator", selecting all options and make sure you also click on"Install Required Prerequisites".
Run the CLIENT ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility > Set license preferences for user... >v211 and RESET to DEFAULT and make sure that the license options are set correctly here, and the newpreferences file will be created.
Run the CAD Configuration Manager from Start > ANSYS 2021 R1 by right-clicking it and selecting the 'Run as Administrator' option.select SpaceClaim and configure it.
Please let me know if this helps.

      Hello Ipsilvie, thanks for replying.
After 2-3 restarts now spaceclaim is working. Don't know how it got fixed but if I encounter the problem, I'll try the solution you mentioned.
