Hi,
I received this error when reopening my previously saved case file in Fluent. Basically, I can get the result data with this case file when I set everything up the first time, but I receive this error every time when I reopen this case file. This case can be read and simulated on my friend's PC. Therefore, I believe my geometry and mesh are fine, and it might be my computer's problem. By the way, I can run other cases with my Fluent and I didn't use any user-defined function. Can someone help me out?Â
Â
Thanks.

Here is the error message below:

Hello,Â
you said this case can be run on your friend's PC, are they also able to read the .dat file?
Which version of Fluent are you using?

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. We are both using 2023R1. Because the data file is too large, I just shared the case file, but he can read and run the simulation.Â

Are you able to read the case file without the data? I'm trying to isolate the source of the problem.

Nope, I cannot read my case file. It will give this error with or without the data file. But I can read other case files from my friend. It looks like my software cannot read the case files that were produced and saved from my local software. So, I think there are some reading problems with my software.Â

What version of Fluent are you using? And what is the output format of the case file? .cas/.cas.h5/.cas/gz?

I'm using Fluent 2023R1 and Workbench 2023R1. The output file is cas.h5.

From a clean state, meaning after running the case from your machine, can you try to write the case and solution data in uncompressed format .cas/.dat (just change the file type when you write the files, File > Write > Case & Data).
Then see if you can read these new files.

I just set everything up and wrote my case in .cas format. But I still got that error.
