      Hello,

      I am running Windows on a Parallels VM. The Anlsys Licence Manager shaes the licnece as running, FlexNet icencing running and Interconnect monitor as running but I'm getting an error message in the Licneseing Settings wheh I try to add the port and server (both I am certian are correct - running on the local host) STK via the license settings;

      lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2022 Flexera. All Rights Reserved. Flexible License Manager status on Sat 5/11/2024 19:30 [Detecting lmgrd processes...] Error getting status: License server machine is down or not responding. (-96,7:11001 "WinSock: Host not found (HOST_NOT_FOUND)") Error: Command failed: C:\Program Files\AGI\STK 12\licensingclient\winx64\lmutil.exe lmstat -c 1055@62f44f69

      I followed instructions here;

      /forum/forums/topic/need-help-with-license-error-ansys-electronics-desktop-student/

      In doing so I deleted the ansyslmd.ini file (C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\licensing) and tried to re-install but this has not helped.

      Any help or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks!

      Mo

      Hello Mo,

      Can you launch the Ansys licensing setting tool as administrator and then add server details to check if that regenerates ansyslmd.ini file?
      With that, can you try using the IP address instead of hostname/servername in the Ansys licensing settings and check if that resolves the -96 error?

      I hope this helps,

      Mrunali.
