Hello,nI got an error for the prereq Intel SDK for OpenCL that required to install it separately. I found the setup file in the Iso of ANSYS 2020 R2. However, it showed me other message that required to uninstall Intel HD graphics driver before installing this SDK. Could you please help me?nThank you and stay safe, nddln

      Hi ddl,
You don't need to install OpenCL unless you are going to use ANSYS Discovery products.
What products are you going to use ?
      Thanks,
      Win

      Hi ddl,
I see. Let's first check how many display adapters you have on the machine. Please post the screenshot of Device Manager -> expand Display adapters.
If you have two (Integrated Intel, and dedicated Nvidia or AMD), you should be able to safely proceed with that warning message .
If you do have only one, integrated Intel, I will have to discuss with others about it.
      Thank you,
      Win

If you are encountering errors installing the Intel SDK for OpenCL, we expect most machines already have OpenCL drivers installed, but there are a number of key cases where this is not true, this is why we include them this as a prereq. There is a way to check if there is an existing install of the drivers, this is an internal tool so its not pretty:
      On a command prompt run:
      cd //Framework/bin/Win64
      Ans.DriverSetup.exe --verbose --check-opencl-availability
This should show the available OpenCL drivers. If there are any from Intel, AMD or NVidia the prerequisite installation is not necessary and can be ignored.

      Thanks,
      Matt
