BOLT PRETENSIONING IN COMPOSITE BEAM

      Dear all,

I have modelled the beam as solid element in the ACP pre and the thickness is in the Y direction. However i need to apply prestress to the steel cables that support the composite beam. I defined the bolt pretension and then instead of decreasing the vertical displacement, the vertical displacement completely increased and reached from 26 mm to 56mm. In steel structure, the same case, the deflection could be zero by tuning the bolt pretension in the cables.

      Hi Rakesh,

Can you try to apply preload on one cable and see if the behavior is as expected?

      Regards,
