SubscriberGood morning,
We recently installed ANSYS license manager onto one of our virtual servers. The server that we installed it on also has hosted a couple other products licenses for some time.
Since we installed the ANSYS license manager, we have experienced instability in our server. It seems it gradually eats up all the available memory on the server until it runs out and the system locks up. Naturally, this is a big issue for us as our license servers serve thousands of users.

Ansys EmployeeHi Ramai,nThere is a known issue with Tomcat service and Windows Server 2019 (only seen once with Windows 10)nThe Tomcat service is used only for ANSYS License Management Center to control/manage ANSYS License Manager. So, you don't have to leave Tomcat service running all the time. Please shut this down. It will not affect ANSYS License Manager. Then, you can start it up anytime you want to use the ANSYS License Management Center to do something.nThanks,nWinnSeptember 14, 2020 at 1:43 pmsoftware
SubscriberHi Win,nThank you for your answer and confirming what we suspected. After posting this I did kill the Tomcat service and that stabilized our memory leak. I just checked the stats on the server and it has been stabled over the weekend which is a good sign!nThanks,nRamainSeptember 17, 2020 at 6:42 pmtsiriaks
