liquid gas CO2 multiphase using Fluent

      Hello,

I am simulating liquid CO2 flowing through a pipe with heat transfer. The CO2 enter as CO2 mixture between liquid-gas at 10 bar and -40 C, it gets cooled down midway; therefore, the vapor quality of the CO2 changes.

Is there any way to enter the full liquid and gas properties for the CO2 (in a table format for example), or do I have to add new material with the CO2 properties at 10 bar -40 C in both phases?

My concern is that the pressure will drop throughout the pipe, so the properties will change as the pressure changes.

      Thank you.

You'll use a multiphase model (probably Eulerian) and have two materials: CO2-liquid and CO2-gas.  Then use a phase interaction model for the evaporation/condensation.

Yes, that's what I am doing, but I am concerned about the liquid and gas CO2 properties. I want to see if I can import a table of properties for the CO2 to accommodate the change in pressure, because when you add a new material you set the properties for one specific temperature and pressure.

I am trying to do something similar. I am dealing with 2 d pipe, 3 inches by 12 ft. I am injecting CO2 at 1200 psi, 26 deg C (inlet condition), and my outlet condition is 200 psi, as I know from thermodynamics, co2 will change phase from liquid to gas, how can visualize this process?
