Hi everybody.
I'm trying to simulate a V-bending process. I define 10 steps for it, and the punch moves 4 or 5 millimeters in each step. But in step 7 (when the punch moves back some millimeters) I get this Error:
"An internal solution magnitude limit was exceeded. (Node Number 1770, Body Sheet, DOF UY) Please check your Environment for inappropriate load values or insufficient supports. Â You may select the offending object and/or geometry via RMB on this warning in the Messages window. Â Please see the Troubleshooting section of the Help System for more information."
and then this one:
"Element 1894 located in Body "Sheet" (and maybe other elements) has become highly distorted. Â You may select the offending object and/or geometry via RMB on this warning in the Messages window. Â Excessive distortion of elements is usually a symptom indicating the need for corrective action elsewhere. Â Try incrementing the load more slowly (increase the number of substeps or decrease the time step size). Â You may need to improve your mesh to obtain elements with better aspect ratios. Â Also consider the behavior of materials, contact pairs, and/or constraint equations. Â If this message appears in the first iteration of first substep, be sure to perform element shape checking. Named Selections for the offending element can be created via the Identify Element Violations property on the Solution Information Object."
I am completely confused because I ran this analysis many times some months ago without any problem. Now I just changed my laptop and when I copy the files to the new laptop and run it I get those errors. I tried many ways but still, I got the errors. In the first run, I changed the material model a bit, so I think it was the problem. but when I used the old models the problem continued.ÂI don't know how to attach the project! I didn't find anywhere to attach it!

Hi,
Please try implementing following pointers if have not implemented yet.
1. Make sure the mesh preference in nonlinear mechanical
2. Try using more number of load step for the analysis.
3. In analysis setting, make large deflection to ON.
4. Ensure the mesh is more refined in the bending portion of the model.Â
Hope this helps.
