Specifying PSD G Inputs for Random Vibration Analysis in ANSYS

My main goal is to determine the PSD G inputs for random vibration analysis in ANSYS. I've carried out Impact Hammer tests on two distinct spring designs to calculate their damping ratios. Can you assist me in specifying the PSD G inputs? Are there any standard or benchmark values that could serve as a reference?

      Hi,

For generating the PSD G input loading for random vibration, you have to perform the FFT on the time history data. Please check out the below KM article.

So there is no pre-defined or manual benchmark data PSD G for roadroughness?

The PSD is a user input, so the user needs to provide that (Ansys does not have any specific PSD curves thus it is up to the user to input them).

Having siad that, perhaps other forum members that have worked with automotive applications and PSD analysis might have some feedback.

        All the best

        Erik
