Forum ModeratorOn start up or during a pause in a run?
On start up you set the process count, and you should then see an error if you try and use more than your licence permits. Note it is possible to launch 8 cores parallel on a 4 core machine, and it won't help performance. GPUs behave differently, and unless you're using the new GPU solver I'd leave those alone for now.Â
During a pause in a run, check the options under the Parallel tab (top ribbon) and I think it's listed in the Load Balancing menu.Â

Forum ModeratorYes and no. The LM will show what's being used, but I'm not sure if it'll tell you how many you're using (ie itemised list) as opposed to total for everyone.Â

Forum ModeratorThe licence file is wherever you put it, or where IT put it on the system. You're looking for a line something like
INCREMENT aa_a_hpc ansyslrnd
Unless you're using Ansys Student, which is covered here https://www.ansys.com/academic/students/ansys-student
