Dear ANSYS Team,

Myself Arjun a Ph.D. student at Imperial College London. Lately, I am facing an issue with the licenses. Currently, our group holds 5 licenses active up to Nov-2024. Until yesterday I could able to run fluent parallel simulations (32cores) on my desktop. But from yesterday onwards it is permitting me to use only 4 cores. I am also attaching the screenshot for your reference. Also, I am not allowed to login to my customer portal account.

I request you to kindly help me in solving this issue.

If you perform a license status on you machine what does it produce?

Start->All Programs->Ansys 2020 R1->Ansys Client Licensing->Client ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility 2020 R2
When this appears, choose:
View Status/Diagnostic Options->Display the License Status

Please copy the output from the display screen and paste here.
Right-click in display window and choose select all
Right click again and choose   copy
Paste here.

Are you able to run with less cores, say 16?
It looks, from the status that 28 licenses are being used on ese-ap20.ic.ac.uk ese-ap20.ic.ac.uk

Hi George,

Thank you very much for your reply. Actually, I could able to run the simulation with more than 4 cores (This version is somehow recognizing our research licenses) using version 2021 but not the 2020 R2. In 2020 R2 it is restricting me to only 4 cores(teaching license-Imperial college licenses)
