Hi,

I've been getting varying license errors when running Fluent 2021R2 Academic version on a server cluster. Error messages are listed below:

ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR:Failover feature 'CFD Base' is not available.

Request name cfd_base does not exist in the licensing pool.

Dependent feature FEAT_CFD_BASE in AND keyword is not available.

Dependent feature FEAT_CFD_SOLVE_LEVEL1 in AND keyword is not available.

Unable to spawn node: license not available.

ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR:Not enough HPC Parallel licenses 40/4.

ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR:Failover feature 'CFD Solver - Level 2' is not available.

Request name cfd_solve_level2 does not exist in the licensing pool.

Cannot connect to license server system.

 The license server manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet,

 the wrong [email protected] or license file is being used, or the

 port or hostname in the license file has been changed.

I've contacted the server IT as well as license provider and they both can't find any configuration issues on their ends. A small number of license checkouts were successful (usually on 4 cores) but the vast majority of attempts fail especially when anshpc licenses are involved.

On the node where the job tried to run:
View thelicdebugfile. Thelicdebugfile is generated when you run an Ansys, Inc. application and resides in the.ansyssubdirectory under the directory specified by theTEMPenvironment variable (Windows) or in the $HOME directory (Linux). Thelicdebugfilename will vary depending on the product but will follow the formatlicdebug.<product>.212.out. For example:
If alicdebugfile already exists and is dated today, the information is appended. If it is dated before today, the existing file will be renamed with a.oldextension and a new file will be started.

Note:The license debug file names include the current release of the application. Because not all applications are updated with each release, it is possible to have lic\debug file names that are appended with older release numbers. For example, it is possible to be running Ansys Release 16.1 but still have a product license debug log file name include 160 as inlicedbug.POLYFLOW.160.out.
