Random Vibration of Multiple Printed Circuit Board Assemblies in an Enclosure
6+ HOURS
This course reviews how to perform a Random Vibration analysis of multiple PCBAs inside an enclosure using the Ansys Sherlock™ electronics reliability prediction software and Ansys Workbench™ simulation integration platform. This includes two parallel boards (most common configuration) as well as multiple boards in arbitrary orientations. The primary failure modes of interest are solder fatigue & lead fatigue due to board bending, component motion, and lead bending under vibrational loads. In this case, the impact of the larger system (i.e. enclosure) on the PCBAs is now captured.
Learning Outcomes:
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Perform a random vibration of multiple PCBAs in an enclosure with parallel stacked PCBAs.
- Perform a random vibration of multiple PCBAs in an enclosure with PCBAs in arbitrary orientations.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of the course Ansys Sherlock Getting Started course.
- Completion of the course Random Vibration Analysis with Ansys Sherlock Software Course.
- Completion of the course Random Vibration of a Printed Circuit Board Assembly in an Enclosure course.
