It delves into the continuity equation for Cartesian coordinate, the momentum equation for laminar incompressible flow with constant fluid properties and the Plane Couette flow. The course also explores the components of viscous stress tensor for incompressible nutrient fluid and the vorticity component. It further elaborates on the exact solution of Navier Stokes equations, the concept of fully developed flow, and the calculation of shear stress and vorticity. The course also covers the concept of plane Poiseuille flow, a type of fluid flow that occurs between two infinite parallel stationary flat plates under a constant pressure gradient and zero gravity. The course concludes with the application of Navier Stokes equations in solving various fluid dynamics problems.
