This course covers the fundamental principles of psychrometry and their applications in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. It starts with an understanding of psychrometry, its importance in maintaining optimal temperature and humidity levels, and its technical aspects. The course then moves on to the concepts of humidity and temperature calculations, providing detailed explanations and practical applications. It further delves into the application of the first law to psychometric processes, focusing on both flow and non-flow processes. The course also covers the concept of dehumidification, its application in air conditioning systems, and the use of a sling psychrometer to measure humidity. Lastly, it discusses the concept of specific enthalpy in moist air, psychometric chart calculations, and the application of psychometric principles in different scenarios.
