What might cause the error “the element xxxx is not part of installation”?

  Not all the elements are supported by the license which Ansys Mechanical may pulling up at that time. You can check license supported for particular element in ‘Element Reference’ in the ANSYS Help. Check what licence Mechanical is pulling up, one may have Enterprise licence but some other licences such as EMAG (which may not support the particular element) may be listed as first choice under licence preference which can be a problem. Also it may happen even though the license preference is set properly if the license are limited and already consumed by other users or processes.
