What is the relationship between hatch spacing and laser beam diameter (or laser spot size)?

Is laser spot size depended on hatch spacing value or is it constant value? If it is a constant value, what is the value taken in the simulation? Ans: Hatch spacing is the distance between two neighboring laser scan beams. Hatch spacing is usually less than the laser beam diameter (or laser spot size). The laser spot size is currently assumed to be a constant 35 um diameter. This is the 2 sigma distribution of the laser energy. Also, there is currently no coupling between the hatch spacing and the laser spot size.
