      When we speak of ‘frequencies’, there are two to keep in mind – the excitation frequency (time-history loading frequency content) and also the frequency response of the system (e.g., standing wave patterns or acoustic modes within the acoustic domain). The frequency content of the system is determined by the geometry and material properties and not the loading, but these system frequencies could be excited with an excitation frequency that is different from the loading.
