Keywords: Hydrostatic fluid, contact Hydrostatic fluid elements are easiest to set up in a multibody part, but if you use contact, you should designate the hydrostatic fluid side as the ‘Contact’ (not ‘Target’) side and use MPC formulation. This is because the contact side is the softer side, so it should follow the target surface movement; also, there is no elastic modulus, so we should use MPC formulation (penalty or augmented Lagrange, by default, automatically calculate contact stiffness based on underlying stiffness of the part, but HSFLD24x elements have no elastic modulus).
