      A. In this particular case, the issue appeared to be that the plastic strain is beyond the last data point of the KINH curve resulting in zero stiffness. NLAD only makes this worse. The solution was to switch to BKIN and define a small nonzero tangent modulus for stability. With this change, the model solved without the need for NLAD.
