During the solving of the model, each elemental stiffness is evaluated. These elemental stiffness are used to calculate the global stiffness matrix. Ansys prints out (in the solve.out file) the minimum matrix coefficient and the maximum matrix coefficient. The coefficient ratio is the ratio between these min and max values. If the ratio exceeds 10^8, it means that the stiffness matrix is ill-conditioned, so the results should be checked carefully. The user is encouraged to check the setup (especially the material laws), and to enhance the mesh to avoid too much discrepancy between the matrix coefficients.
