      For a single edge selection, the Display Edge Direction toolbar button will show a small arrow indicating the edge direction. For multiple edge selections or chains of edges, DM will usually get the direction from the first edge of the chain, assuming the user picks an edge at one end of the chain first. Otherwise, the direction will be arbitrary and must be determined by trial and error.
