The Ansys Innovation Space website recently experienced a database corruption issue. While service has been restored there appears to have been some data loss from November 13. We are still investigating and apologize for any issues our users may have as a result.

How can I recover results from other previously solved analyses in the Workbench project?

If you have several systems within your workbench project and during a solve one of the systems crashed, then the results for the previously solved analyses may be recoverable. If the project scratch folder contains results then you can read these results into Mechanical. It’s important to save your model just prior to solving so you have the “pre-solved” setup saved. If you were to open this .wbpj, Tools > Read Results Files, then point to the directory of the scratch folder. Once you have read in all the results that are in the scratch folder you can delete it. Alternatively if things have gone completely wrong, you can export .mechdb file from the corrupted session, rename to .mechdat and import this mechdat file into a clean WB session. If you have results for this mechdb file in a _ProjectScratch folder then follow same steps as above.
