In ANSYS nCode DesignLife should FE calculated plastic strains be used with time series load mapping in a strain-life (EN) fatigue analysis?

Strain-life fatigue uses plastic strains to predict the fatigue life. DesignLife can either use elastic FE calculated strains or elastic-plastic FE calculated strains. Time Series load mapping uses linear superposition. DesignLife does not explicitly prevent using Time Series load mapping with elastic-plastic FE results, but it is not recommended because it would entail linearly combining nonlinear results. The recommended approach is to use linear FE results with an elastic-plastic correction (e.g., Neuber method) on the combined result. Time Step load mapping is recommended to be used with elastic-plastic FE results.
