      By default, iges file exported from APDL comes in meter unit. For example, if one of the lines measure 30 units in APDL, the same dimension in IGES exported file will be read as 30m. But if you know that this dimension should be 30mm in iges file, then you need to first set appropriate units in APDL before exporting to iges. For setting mm units, set units to MPA using command “/units,mpa”. This will change the unit system in APDL without changing the dimension values. So, the exported iges file will now have the value reported as 30mm.
