I am using Workbench Mechanical and I would like to monitor the displacement of a vertex in real time (i.e. when the simulation is running): is this possible?

Yes, it is possible by using the “Deformation Tracker”. These are the steps to follow to be able to use this capability: 1. Click on Solution Information 2. Right click and “Insert Deformation” 3. Select the vertex of interest and specify the orientation Additional information on Result Trackers can be found in the following section of the documentation: ANSYS Documentation > Mechanical Applications > Mechanical User’s guide > Understanding Solving > Result Trackers > Structural Result Trackers
