How to load scripted extensions (.py) in workbench? Is there any difference as compared to binary (.wbex) extensions?

There is not much difference between binary (.wbex) vs. scripted extensions (.py) in usage once they are loaded in to Workbench. There is a slight difference in “installing” and “loading” each kind. Usually document provided with the extensions shows how to load binary (.wbex) extensions. To load scripted extension (if you are provided .py files), go to Workbench >> Tools >> Options >> Extensions >>.. In the “Additional Extension Folder” field paste the link to the “src” folder (usually located in the ACT Extension provided along with another “doc” folder). Now go to Workbench >> Extensions>> Manage Extensions >> The “Extension Manager” window opens up. Here all the Extensions will be listed. Check mark the extensions needed downstream in Mechanical.
