We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

How to change rotor speed to positive in a Maxwell model imported from Motor-CAD?

When exporting a Motor-CAD model to Maxwell, rotor speed is negative. In EM analysis it is not relevant, but in case of NVH analysis, rotor speed should be positive. However it can be easily change manually by modifying the vbs-script created by Motor-CAD: 1. Search for “Angular Velocity:=”, “-MachineRPM”, and change the value to “MachineRPM” 2. Search for “Winding Group” and change the current phase of windings 2 and 3: (360 – 120) –> (360 + 120) (360 – 240) –> (360 + 240) 3. Search for “Torque Plots”, and change the y-component: “-Moving1.Torque” –> “Moving1.Torque” Finally run the script in Maxwell as usual
