How often does workbench need to verify the license? Does a copy of the model get save locally to my machine while the solution is processing, or does it need server access if that is where it’s saved?

License should be available while running the solution otherwise the solution will terminate intermittently. On where the file is saved – please go to Project Schematic page and under Tools -> Options -> Project Management one will be to see the location of temporary and permanent files. If file is saved on other network and the connectivity is lost then the solution will abort because the input and output files are written continuously during the solution.
