Can you recover SpaceClaim Geometry that has been saved in a lightweight form due to file corruption?

Generally this type of file corruption occurs because of the presence of external components. Internalizing all the components from the beginning before saving is probably the safest way to avoid file corruption. However, if you still experience this, here is a way in which you might be able to get some or most of your geometry back. Steps you can follow are: 1) Navigate to the file location in Windows 2) Change the file extension to .zip. For example, Design.scdoc should become Design.zip 3) Open the ZIP file and navigate to SpaceClaim > Geometry 4) Locate the file allpartbodies.sab or if this isn’t present try a selection or all of the .sab file, and extract it/them from the ZIP file. You may be able to just copy and paste it to your desktop 5) In SpaceClaim, use File > Open and set the file type to ACIS, then locate allpartbodies.sab (or the ones you have copied) and open it/them. This may recover some of the geometry right away, but it’s not guaranteed. In some cases you will be able to recover most/all of the geometry, although you may need to assemble the parts again.
