Can a Mechanical APDL model be imported into ANSYS Workbench?

      Yes. Workbench can read a MAPDL archived coded database file (cdb file). A cdb file can be written from within MAPDL using the CDWRITE command. You should use the db only option to save only the FE data. You do not want to save the solid model, because Workbench cannot read the MAPDL solid model or cad data. If the model is an assembly, you could create one cdb file for the whole model or multiple .cdb files for each sub-assembly.
      Note: Workbench cannot import a MAPDL binary database (db) file. It can only read the ASCII .cdb file.
