Discovery Extension Builder: Heat Sink Example for 2024 R1
The Extension Builder in Discovery is a tool designed to create tailor-made extensions. With this powerful tool, you can effortlessly incorporate buttons and tools into groups and tabs on the ribbon. By importing or writing scripts, you can unleash the potential of your custom tools and buttons to execute an extensive array of tasks within Discovery.
You can launch the Extension Builder by selecting it from the File Menu dropdown.
Note: The Extension Builder cannot be opened if History Tracking or the stand-alone Script Editor is currently running.
What is included?
✔ The Extension Builder creates extensions that can perform various tasks within Discovery.
This Heat Sink Example is a fully operational extension that helps you design a basic concept heat sink. A good heat sink design is essential for effective heat dissipation in electronic devices and other applications where thermal management is critical.
Download the Heat Sink Example from the link provided. Once downloaded, you can open the HeatSinkExample.dsbuilder extension within Discovery and use it to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Extension Builder’s functionality.
Once opened in the Extension Builder, click Preview Extension to launch it within Discovery.
