Customer will be upgrading their server to Windows Server 2019 and intend to virtualize the current license server using Hyper-V. I do not see any compatibility information for Hyper V or for Windows Server 2019 until 2019 R2. Is ANSYS supported with a VM created using Hyper-V and with Windows Server 2019?

FAQ
ParticipantThe ANSYS License Manager is supported under Virtual Machines and we are not aware of any limitations using Hyper-V to create it. I’ve checked with the ANSYS IT Team and we only use VMware ESX servers for virtualization. Our IT no longer supports Hyper-V (Microsoft) for a couple years now. They claim that VMware is more robust for central management. ANSYS 2019 R2 should be officially certified to run on a Virtual Machine with Windows Server 2019: https://www.ansys.com/-/media/ansys/corporate/files/pdf/solutions/it-professionals/platform-support/ansys-platform-support-strategy-plans-february-2019.pdf?la=en ANSYS 2019 R2 is scheduled to be available by Mid May 2019.
