FAQParticipantWhile defining the boundary conditions for your problem statement, there are two different features provided in Discovery (analyze and explore) viz. Displaced Structural Support and Displacement Boundary condition.
Displaced Structural support:
The displaced support is when you want to simulate subsidence or movement of the entire support/foundation.
For example, Movement of the mounting point or the foundation of a system.

Displacement Boundary condition:
This is the defined displacement provided on a surface/face or when a force is applied in terms of displacement.
For example, a pressing machine, or snap fits.

Note: Both these features are the same things in physics and mathematical terms, but they are differentiated for user convenience and consistent understanding.
