Discovery Products support 2 types of licensing – Subscription based and Enterprise (floating) based

Subscription license:

• Named user license, not floating
• Each license is assigned to a single user and cannot be shared
• Each license can be activated on 2 machines
• Requires access to a cloud-based license server
• Please refer to this post on how to manage, invite and assign subscriptions to users
• Does not require the Ansys License Manager to be installed

Enterprise license:

• Traditional ANSYS floating license
• Each license can be used by multiple users (not simultaneously)
• Uses same license file & license manager as ANSYS flagship products
• Traditional paid-up and lease options available
