SubscriberHello,
I dont know if this is the right place to post this question but I thought I will post it here.
I want to simulate this in Ansys(fluent or any other product if available)
This is an inbuilt module in Comsol. but I would like to get this done through fluent udfs if possible or any other product of ansys.
I saw this in ansys website
But I could not find any examples that show how to simulate corona discharge. I have seen a simple version of this that exist in literature and I can do that in ansys but I don't know how to do this. I want to see how much charge got generated during corona discharge and got deposited on on the ground.
In COMSOL documentation, I see this, which makes me think it should be possible to do so. (comsol.help.plasma/plasma_ug_drift_diffusion.07.13.html)
Can we do this in fluent or is there any other product of ansys that can achieve this? Please let me know

Forum ModeratorYes, but it's non-trivial and will likely require a fair bit of UDF coding. And that's about all I can say on the subject.Â

Forum ModeratorThat looks to be part of Ansys. Lumerical is the optical solver. As I said, it's very much non trivial. Expect to be coupling more than just Fluent to make it work.Â
