What to give the value of heat flux and why?

I am doing a stimulation on heat transfer in an online course ,Here below i have attached the question.

      • In the question they have specified the heat flux at right boundary is 0.5W/m^2 but our trainer asked us to enter the value as -0.5 W/m^2 why??
      • and they specify the if we give input as 0.5W/m^2 it means the heat flow is carried into domain (ie. from right to left) is that correct ??
      • And what it means at right boundary (ie. qx=-K dhoT/dhox =0.5 W/m^2) is that the heat flux from the right boundary to the surrounding?

Can you help me with that ??
