My ANSYS Student or AIM Student product fails to launch after installation  - I'm using folders/paths with special characters (&,@,^, arabic characters or symbols).Â

If the ANSYS Student or AIM Student product fails to launch after installation then one of the possible causes is that the product download was extracted into a path with special characters (&,@,^, arabic characters or symbols). When special characters are involved, the .net framework doesn't install during the Student Product installation. Â

Workaround:Â Install the products to a different folder name that doesn't use special characters. Â Â
Â
Note that a similar issue can occur when you PC's username has special characters- If you share your PC, avoid using special characters, so for example "paul&jane" wouldn't be a good choice.Â
