Hello, I run topology optimization analysis and I receive the following error:
July 22, 2021 at 9:02 pmJohn DoyleAnsys EmployeeThis restriction appears to have been removed in R2021-R1. I just tested R2021-R2 and it seems to work with a revolute joint included in the design domain.
Can you upgrade to latest release? If not, I am not sure there is a workaround. As I recall, there was a time when joints could not be anywhere in a topo opt model even if they were excluded from the design domain. Or maybe if the revolute joint can be replaced with contact with an adjacent part that is not included in design domain and then exclude the elements that are scoped to the contact. It would only work with small deflection though. You might need to turn on beta switch to get it to run.
