SubscriberHello!
So I am trying to do an topology optimization for a gearbox with 2 housing parts. I have set up my static structural and structural optimization analysis and also have a result using the mixable density method.
Now I want to validate my design without having to set up the problem again from scratch.
I tried adding a STL Smoothing to my Topology Density output and ran into the following problem:
STL Smoothing works only as long as I have the "Export Model" setting set to No. As soon as I change this to "Yes" and try to evaluate the same result, I get the following error message:
"Error --- The slicer was not able to produce a valid model, this is may be due to very thin part in the topology solution. Try to refine your model or to play with the density threshold if possible. Warning --- STL file is corrupted, please check the file."
Can anyone tell me why that is the case?
