Hello,
Â
when I try to simulate my Maxwell 3D model component in Simplorer i recieve this error:
[error] Cannot compute tangential sign.  Possible causes are: 1.) Incorrect geometry model; 2.) Mesh is not correct.  Please try using Model Resolution with suitable Model Resolution Length.Â
The Maxwell 3D Transient simulation alone works fine, same as for the simplorer simulation. Adding the Maxwell Component in the Simplorer schematic works also fine, but the following simulation in Simplorer generates this error.
I think 1.) Incorrect geometry model isnt the problem, because i tested it with just a small block of copper with 2 coil terminals added to a external winding. So probably 2.) is the Problem, but i didn't found information about what is meant with suitable Model Resolution Lenght. I tried to make the mesh more complex but that didnt work.
Does anyone know how to solve this error?
Thanks!Â

Hello Paul,
Please double check if Maxwell model could run sucessfully. For co-simulation, please review https://innovationspace.ansys.com/forum/forums/topic/simplorer-co-simulation/ too to make your setting is correct. Could you share your Simplore schematic? Do you have other error message? Is this error message in Maxwell model? Thanks.
