You've just done a load balancing step, but given you're 130k cells on 48 nodes I suspect there's been a node dropped or data packet lost following that step. I'd generally not drop below about 50k cells per node as you'll be paying more in message passing costs than you're saving in having more cpu. Try with 5-10 cores and see how it behaves.Â
Load balancing is only really useful if you're adapting the mesh or have a lot of specific physics: what models are active?
