Hi there,
I am supposed to model heat transfer through a packed bed of spheres. But there is some problems .
First, each sphere is a energy source (transient) and energy source is a function of time. So the Temp. of center of each sphere is different with the surface temperature. So how can I define it to CFX?
Second, I use Ansys 14.5 and I don't know it is beneficial to switch to 19 V?
Many Thanks,

Hello,
To answer your second question, Ansys has undergone a lot of changes, for the better, between versions R14.5 and R19. These include changes in the overall layout / structure  to including additional models (for certain physics). In addition to this, Ansys relies on customer feedback to drive improvements in various tools from one version to another.
I'll leave it to a CFX expert for answering your first question.
FYI: I've moved your discussion to the 'Fluid Dynamics' thread for more traction.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Karthik
