Running multiple LS-DYNA simulations with batch files

Hi all, just as the title says, on Windows, how would I go about using the command line to tell LS-Run (or the solver) to run multiple files in sequence instead of manually going to each input .k file's folder, setting dependency to -1, and clicking run for each one? I ask this because I've got about 80 files to run in sequence, and may need to do this multiple times due to potential errors.

Running it directly from the solver instead of getting it all into LS-Run is fine too, but I'd like to be able to click the key + d3plot button to open a selected file in LS-PrePost instead of doing it from LSPP, as well as the ETA for each being directly available in LS-Run instead of only in the command line popups. Please let me know, thanks.

Hi, you can write a script to submit 80 jobs in sequence (in command line) but you may not be able to visualize the job progress interactively. While the jobs are running, you could rely on certain commands to extract job progress (for example, checking the output in messag/mes0000 files through a script). To open key+d3plot, you can use LSPP batch command.

However, I suggest taking a look at LS-OPT (optimization tool). This tool has a better job scheduler for ls-dyna runs. You can create a dummy variable for optimization and fire off multiple ls-dyna jobs in sequence or parallel and also monitor job progress interactively. Each run is executed in a unique directory so launching LSPP for d3plots should be straighforward too.
