RSM network security

  Hello. What I am wanting to know is when a student sends a job to our RSM box from outside of our network, what kind of security or encryption is this data being sent with? Thank you.

  Well RSM has multiple file transfer mechanisms available...so which is implemented there? The answer to that will probably also be the answer to your question as well.

  Ah I see. Are you referring to under "Client-to-HPC File Management", it is currently set to use RSM internal file transfer mechanism. I see the Tell me more links to the side now with more info on each. So if we are looking for maximum security we should use "Operating system file transfer to network share" or "External mechanism"?
